sims 4 crashes and freezes while saving and exciting the game

Does it also crash if you save first and then exit without saving ?

Hi @crinrict my game has recently started crashing on exit. I am not losing anything because I've always save before going save & exit - I don't know why I do it but I always have. Same with manage worlds, save first then save & go to manage worlds.

Anyway last two nights, I save as always then save & exit and the game crashes. Not tried exiting without saving though not sure I am that trusting. 

It could be something to do with MS updating, or failing to do so in the background - or it could be hardware because I built the PC a while back and it's getting a bit tired. Any advice gratefully accepted, thanks

yeah, it's a known crash. I don't think there's much that can be done atm. EA/Maxis needs to fix it.

Always save first and then exit.

So lately (March 2025) this has been happening to me, but i can't even save normally before exiting. So my game crashes and i lose an entire day since i save every in-game night. Could it be from playing on one save for too long, cause sometimes it starts glitching when playing on a save really long. Maybe it's still an issue on The Sims' part? I have no clue and have tried basically everything to fix this and nothing has worked. Did they manage to find a way to fix it without losing my entire save?
