Hi. My Sims 4 game crashed today - not sure why, but it may have something to do with Origin being unavailable? Lost 3 hours of gameplay. I can live with that.
However, I have tried at least 15 times to resume playing the household, and it will not load. I cannot get past the plumbob and the game hints. I get a message that The Sims has stopped responding and Windows closes it. This is my favorite household, so I would really appreciate any assistance that anyone can provide.
I can get into the lot via Manage Worlds and sneaking in to Build that way, but I can't actually get in to play the game.
Thanks,
Jennifer.

Hello I am getting the same issue. I am playing a house and then go to travel to another and it doesnt load it just goes back to the maps of the city to choose to play. I cant seem to find anything anywhere to help fix the issue

If you close down the game completely and restart and then start a new game for testing purposes, does that load ?
If so, you might wanna try a backup: http://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2014/09/backups/

Hello again. I shut down my computer, restarted, played another lot, and then returned to the one that wouldn't load. Now I get past the plumbob and game hints, and the lot loads. However, now if I try to Save or play for longer than about 3 minutes, I get a message that the game has stopped working and that Windows is closing the program. This problem is happening on multiple lots. Could it be a size issue? I don't even know what the possibilities are for Windows to read the program as not working, even when it seems to be.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Jennifer.

Did you try a new save game to see if it's the save game or a general issue ?

Hi. Today seems like my day for issues.
I clicked on Save, and instead of taking a couple of seconds to save, I waited for about 30 seconds with a Saving screen. I finally pulled up Task Manager and got the message that The Sims 4 Has Stopped Working and it shut down. I crash on Save frequently, but this is the first time it has ever frozen on Saving for that long.
Please let me know if I can supply any additional information.
Thanks,
Jennifer.

I merged that with your existing crashing thread
