Sims 4 crashes while loading (plumbob start screen) after laptop startup failure
Hi,
Sims 4 had been running fine up until my laptop required a boot disk to repair it. After that it started crashing on the plumbob loading screen on startup. The music skips and the game crashes. Origin is fine. I have checked both video card and sound card drivers, they're up to date. I've removed mods. I've done a clean install. I've tried having Origin repair the game. I've tried going offline in Origin. I think those are all the things I've tried so far. Any suggestions/help would be appreciated. I've attached both the lastcrash.txt and DxDiag.txt files. Thank you!

A few suggestions
1. Launch the game in windowed mode

2. Try doing a factory reset of your game folder This will eliminate the possibility that the reason is hidden in your current game folder

3. Find in Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims4 folder. Inside will be a "config" text document. There, check which graphics card the game uses. Attach this document to the post.
