The problem is that it can look like just about anything else, so it's difficult to determine without testing. The good news is that swapping out memory modules on most gaming laptops, including the Nitro line, is extremely simple, so much so that you could probably do it yourself if you were so inclined.
Unfortunately, DDR5 RAM, the type your laptop uses, is extremely expensive right now due to an ongoing shortage. So if you're out of the warranty window and only one of the modules is defective, you may want to wait to replace it, going with only 8 GB for now. This is not the only site where you can buy compatible memory, but it gives you an idea of current prices in the U.S., which is usually (minus certain tariffs) a little lower than cost anywhere else:

And to be clear, even if you do want to replace the RAM now, and you have to pay for it yourself, you don't necessarily need to replace both modules. Have the shop test them separately.
