Sims 4 crashing night light mode on laptop

Hi, this has been a recurring issue for a few months. I use nightlight on my laptop (ASUS Vivobook) because I have light sensitivity. Whenever sims is open my laptop screen crashes and turns off the nightlight. It will continue crashing if I turn it back on, I am forced to restart my laptop for it to function again.

Any ideas as to what the problem is???

**Laptop was bought brand new September 2024

    xoticbell  Do you know what settings night mode changes?  If so, please try changing them manually, one at a time, that is if you can.  If you're not sure what you're looking at, feel free to list the settings or post screenshots.  I don't have access to a Vivobook to test with and so need some more information here.

    The point is, there may be one specific setting that's an issue, that you can ignore while adjusting the other settings to your liking.
