Sims 4 Crashing on Loading Screen

After this update it seems like my game does nothing but crash. At first it was when moving in a new household , so I renamed my folder and did the reset method and that seemed to fix that issue however if I add back in any of my saves or tray files it starts to crash again.

After resetting again and not adding in my old saves , the game now crashes every time my sim is invited somewhere and she begins to travel. I have no mods or cc at all, graphics drivers are all updated, I exceed optimal system requirements and I have more than enough RAM.

  • Zobell23  The crashes in your dxdiag look like what happens with conflicting software.  If you have any Razer apps installed—Synapse, Cortex, whatever—please remove them.  You may be able to reinstall them later, but please test with all of them gone.

If that doesn't help, please try playing in a clean boot:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows-da2f9573-6eec-00ad-2f8a-a97a1807f3dd

The one service to leave enabled is the EABackgroundService, which the EA App needs in order to run.  Disable the rest as described.

When you reboot your computer, go through the Task Manager's background processes list shutting down any service that doesn't absolutely need to be running, for example anything from MSI Afterburner to RGB software might still be enabled.  If you accidentally kill a critical process and it doesn't restart on its own, just reboot your computer again.

Don't open anything other than Sims 4 and the EA App while testing, not even a browser window.
If this helps, you can selectively reenable services until you find the culprit, then either leave that disabled or (if it belongs to an app you want to keep using) let me know what it is so we can try to fix the underlying issue.

If the game freezes or crashes in a clean boot, please try again, except with your computer offline.  You can sign into the EA App and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi and/or disconnect the ethernet cable before pressing Play.

Hello so I did these steps , I don't have any razer products but I did a clean boot disabling everything except EABackgroundService. Game opened fine but once a sim invited me to a lot and i accepted it crashed on loading screen. I tried again in a clean boot offline and the same thing happened.

Ok so it seems the issue is when Sims invite me out , I traveled several times on my own and had no issues. Then a sim invited me out again to a new lot this time and the game crashed on loading screen. I tried playing in a new save and again same thing , I traveled around over and over with no issues but the first time a sim invited me to a lot , it crashed.

  • Zobell23  That's odd, and I don't know of any current bugs to that effect, although I'll ask around.  In the interim, what lots are affected, and are they default EA-made lots or ones you've created or downloaded?  I realize it's not easy to test, but maybe you at least know whether the same lot was affected in the new save.
