Sims 4 Crashing Repeatedly

Posted about this last week, got no hits, so I'm trying again because there's been a development.

Originally, I reinstalled the Sims 4 on a new laptop and it was completely unstable, crashing before it even got to the main menu, crashing AT the main menu, crashing loading into the world, crashing in character creation, etc. Tried every form of reinstalling, cleaning, even reinstalling the EA app, even reinstalling my graphics drivers, got no success. Changed a bunch of graphics settings, switched from DX11 to DX9, got no success on anything UNTIL I switched to Laptop Mode, then suddenly everything stabilized and the game seemed fine (if bad to look at). Happy days.

Well, Nvidia released a driver update and I installed it and it completely screwed my game up again, so I rolled back to the previous version of the driver, which I knew worked with TS4... and it didn't fix anything. The game is now crashing over and over again, in spite of the fact that it's running off the same driver and settings that WERE stable. I'm completely at a loss, now. I've attached the DxDiag file in hopes someone can make sense of it, but I'm at my wit's end. Putting nearly 1,200 hours into a game since launch and it's unplayable on a new, top of the line computer doesn't pass any threshold of logical acceptability.
