Sims 4 crashing since update and new fairy pack

I recently bought the Enchanted by Nature pack after the update so Im not sure which one is messing up my game. I started a fairy house build on The Watering Hole lot, got half way through and now my game freezes and crashes every time I try to go down a level on the build. There's also other bugs too, like the water showing land where it shouldn't. Yes it was a brand new save, I tried uploading my half built house to the gallery and redownloading on a new lot and it still crashed. I cleared a bunch of space on my PC, I cleared the cache and other files that were unimportant, I uninstalled the game completely and reinstalled it, I tried a new folder, I repaired the game, tried again and still doing the same thing. I was so excited about the fairy pack and I feel Ive just wasted money on something that I cant even enjoy.
