Sims 4 crashing to desktop

Hello my game is crashing to desktop, It seems to follow a perfect schedule and either crashes at exactly 24 or 48 in game hours. I've tried everything from removing mods and deleting localthumbcache and testing out a fresh save to playing in offline mode and in compatibility mode for windows 8. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

  • @MoiraMoser  Please undo your compatibility mode setting.  It shouldn't be necessary and can only complicate troubleshooting.

The Sims 4 errors in your dxdiag are access violations, a type of error that's unfortunately too vague to be of much use on its own.  These can be caused by anything from an in-game bug to mods or custom content to a bad driver to a hardware defect.

Have you specificlally tried playing a new save in a clean user folder?  If not, please do so now: move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  Don't add anything to it yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.

Please play in one of the base game worlds, and don't download anything from the Gallery either.
