Sims 4 crashing without mods and after a completely clean install

I am having an issue with my game crashing without warning or error messages popping up. There doesn't seem to be a specific trigger in my gameplay that I can identify. I do know that upon installation the game tells me it doesn't recognize my 407O Nvidia Geforce RTX Graphics Card.

Here are my system specs:

Processor    Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-14900K   3.20 GHz
Installed RAM    16.0 GB (15.8 GB usable)
Graphics 4070 Nvidia Geforce RTX

I have also attached my most recent last crash and exception error after a clean reinstall of the game and using a backed up save file.

  • I guess i'm bad at attaching error messages. Hope this works.

  • ellenm94  Without a dxdiag, I'm just guessing here, but one common cause of random crashing on computers with high-end Intel processors that the motherboard may overclock by default is a BIOS setting called CPU Turbo Boost.  Sometimes updating the BIOS fixes the issue, so try doing that, if you know how.

If that doesn't help, or you're not sure how to proceed, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

Please also list your motherboard model, which doesn't always show up in a dxdiag.  You can see it printed on the board itself, among other places.
