Sims 4 Demo Download stuck at 99%

I'm trying to download the Sims 4 demo (Create-a-Sim) on my computer, but it is stuck at 99%. A window keeps popping up that says "Download Error. The download server is not responding. Please give it a few moments and try again."  Then Origin pauses the download and I try to resume it a few minutes later, but when I do, it stays at 99% for a few minutes and then the error message pops up again. I've tried restarting Origin, but it didn't do anything differently. Any help? Thanks, I greatly appreciate it!

(Just for reference, I'm using a Windows 8.1 computer.)
