Game Crashing Whole Computer After Latest Update

No matter what I do, when I'm playing the game it causes my whole laptop to shut down. I've tried everything I can think of, but nothing seems to be working at all. I've kept it plugged in this whole time, so it's not an issue with the battery dying. 

So far I've tried;
Repairing the game
Removing all mods
Removing the localthumbcache.package file
Restarting and updating my laptop

The game lets me get onto the main page and then load a save file, but then within the first few minutes of me playing, my computer shuts down. I tried making a new save, but it also shut down while I was in CAS, so I know it's not a specific save file problem.

Has anyone else been having this issue? Any ideas on how to maybe fix it?
