Sims 4 DLC files get deleted when i switch steam accounts

Whenever i switch from my main steam account to my partner's, all of the DLC folders vanish from the contents folder and i am forced to redownload them every time i switch back. after many attempts, ...

@Troy_is_gey I'm thinking maybe the EA app is picking up that there's no DLC's owned from the other steam account and maybe that's causing the deletion of these files but i still don't really know how I would resolve this

    @Troy_is_gey turns out even after the updates install the DLC files are still missing. i'm extremely confused.
