Sims 4 Faded and Won't Play

Thank you for letting us know what you've tried.
Did you try, repairing the game and turned off Origin in-game?
Repair Game:
In Origin > Games Library right-click on Sims 4 and select Repair.Turn off Origin in game:
In Origin - Application Settings - Origin In-Game. Turn this off. As sometimes it causes issues with the game.When I have to reinstall Origin I run Ccleaner to help clean out temporary files, old registry files, internet cache files and other files that are left behind that are no longer needed. This does not hurt your computer or it's files.
Origin and Sims 4 are installed in different folders, but if you're concerned about that, copy the Sims 4 folder to a USB key for safe keeping.

- Options.ini (User game settings)
- Tray Folder (Sims/Houses/Commercial lots and rooms)
- Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
- Rest of the save games, if any.
(leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave. It is not used anymore.)
- Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, and makeup
