Sims 4 fps capped at 20-22fps
Sims 4 fps capped at 20-22
So i reinstalled the game, didnt played it for some months and somehow my fps is stuck at 20-22 now. Before i could play at 4k max settings with nearly allways 60fps. In the first few seconds after the game starts, i have fps beyond 60, but with the sims 4 logo appearance, it decreases to 20. No matter which graphics settings, it is stuck at 20, while my graphics card is only at 10-15 capacity. I already tryed multiple guides, deleted all old data, nothing changed.

GTX 1080 ASUS STRIX OC

hdd (game is installed on the ssd)

1. Check your Windows 10 updates
https://support.microsoft.com/help/4027667/windows-10-update
and get at least KB4505903 which fixes the frame rate problems in some games
2. Disconnect the internet completely (remove the plug, turn off the modem) when in-game and try without it.

3. Clean your computer from dusk - an overheated computer can cause this
4. If you have it turn off Rivatuner Statistics Server and MSI Afterburner.
If it will not work could you post your Computer's DxDiag? Maybe you need new drivers for your hardware.
To gather a DxDiag on your computer, please follow the steps here: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/pc/how-to-gather-dxdiag-information/
