Sims 4 game is taking longer to save

I’ve been on a brand-new PC since the beginning of the month and my game is now starting to take a long time saving when it used to save quickly on this new computer. I’ve been playing the same save file(saving new every few days) since November 2021. What is happening to my new computer?!

    @HillyPlays This is working as intended. Your save file is getting bigger and more complex, so it takes longer to save the extra data.

    Start a new game. It saves just as fast as the original did when you first started, doesn't it?

    Should I set up a new save file every time I save? Sometimes it saves fine, but other times, I get this issue.

    @HillyPlays No. That just wastes time and space. And then you'll be likely to forget which is the "active" save and think you lost hours of play when it's really on that save over there. Don't overthink this.
