Sims 4 gets stuck in saving mode
TL:DR: I'm having an issue where my game gets stuck in saving mode but only in specific circumstances.
Detail: I'm returning to the game after a few years away and am having to remake a lot of my old lots from scratch due to broken CC and such. I'm currently building a creative space/art center and there are no problems when I've only been using build stuff (placing walls, platforms, roofs and adding tiles, windows doors etc) whenever I save, having only been changed these things, the game saves fine.
However as soon as I start trying to decorate the space, adding toilets, chairs, cafe bits etc it's a 50/50 of the game getting stuck in a looping save mode. I'm trying to save after I place batches of objects (i.e. place all the toilets, then save, place chairs in the cafe space, then save) And it almost seems random as to whether the game completes the saving process or not.
Extra details: I do have old CC installed, however only items and nothing that affects scripts. In this build in particular I'm avoiding CC apart from 2 custom windows which don't seem to cause this specific problem. (When I've been only placing build objects including the CC windows the game always completes the save, it's only once I switch to placing 'buy' objects I start having problems).
Can old CC that's not even being placed cause issues like this to occur?
I thought I had accidentality placed one of those broken CC objects that goes invisible which was causing the problem so I bulldozed the entire lot and started over from scratch only to still arrive at the same problem when I start placing objects. So far I've attempted to build the toilet areas about 8 times and I'm not able to complete it without the game getting stuck in the saving process. I've even stopped using bb.moveobjects to place toilets and toilet roll holders (in case overlapping objects is the problem) but I am still having the same issue. Does anyone have any extra ideas as to why this is happening and what I can do to fix it?
