Sims 4 GTW: Is there a way to reset the case in the detective career?

My issue is, I have a case I can not complete. The work task is "Interrogate the Suspect", but the suspects did not come to the station. I tried issuing another APB and found another suspect and arrested it with no problem, but the new suspects did not come to the police station either.

The easiest solution, I think, would be to get a new case; but that option is not there. I seem to be stuck.

EDIT: Also I had no option to file this under bugs and not technical issue, and I don't know how to and if I can move it.

    Do you use any mods?
    Have you tried to fix the game at Origin?
    Go to the TS4 game folder -Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sim4.
    Find in The Sims 4 folder localthumbcache.package file and delete it.
    (The game will create it again but without saved errors)
    Next, fix the game
    Origin / Library-right click on TS4 - option "Repair game"
    You have to wait until Origin will fix all packs, not only the base game.

    If you don't use any mods and it will not help the only solution what I can see is to quit its job and take up this work again. Your sim will be promoted to the same level very quickly. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that this bug will not happen again.
    There is no possibility to reset the tasks.

    I thought as much. Thank you for the reply.

    Taking mods out did not do anything. I guess quitting and rejoining the career will be the safest option.
