Sims 4 infinite Loading screen

So I've had this issue for a while. It started off after I downloaded MCCC and I found that for some reason when I went to travel with my sims, I selected the lot and the game would get stuck on the loading screen. I would hear the music that should come on when a new lot loads up, but the music from the load screen would keep playing and it would remain stuck. I tried every conceivable solution I could find from turning my Origin account offline to rebooting the game from scratch and placing all my files back into the Sims 4 folder. That worked once I figured out that it started happening again when I put the MCCC mod back in, so I left it out and the game worked perfectly...for a day. For some reason it then started happening again but I hadn't added anything new or taken anything out.
So, I tried all those solutions again one by one and I lost all my save data in the process and had to start my entire game from scratch. However, it was functioning properly. Until the next day again. I can't travel with my sims at all, and after opening it up again today, I can't even get into my lots to play the game at all. The game loads up, I bring up my household and on the map I select my lot that I was playing with literally yesterday with no issue other than not being able to travel, but now the lot itself won't load up. It gets stuck on the loading screen in the exact same way it did before, except now I can't play my game at all. I have no idea what is causing this or any of the problems before because in between them working and breaking again, I changed nothing about the game. I played, I saved, I turned the game off. I added no new mods or packs or custom content so I don't know why it just works one minute and then stops the next. I'm super frustrated and at this point I have no clue what to do.

  • @elizabethob  Please try playing while your computer is offline.  You can sign into Origin and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi and/or disconnect the ethernet cable before pressing Play.

Please test with a save and in a Sims 4 user folder that have never been exposed to MCCC, just to be thorough.  If you need to, create another clean Sims 4 folder and start a new save.

I've tried doing this a lot, it's the first thing I do after checking for any updates I've missed.

@elizabethob  So even if you play with your computer completely offline, you still get the infinite loading screen?  If so, please try playing in a new Windows admin user account, again while your computer is offline.  (You may need to launch the game once while online, but you can quit once you get to the Main Menu.)  Don't add any mods or any of your other content, and don't sync with any of your existing accounts, not even Microsoft.
