Sims 4 isn't loading/taking forever to load

I tried to play the Sims 4 a few days ago but saw that the loading screens were much longer than usual. It took 7-10 minutes just to load the main menu and about 5 minutes to load up Create-A-Sim. After I had created a family and tried to play the game, it would keep me on the loading screen. I tried exiting the game and making a new Sim to see if it was just the amount of people in the family I made, but it still wouldn't load. I went to the screen to load a family but found that the Sims I had created had multiplied and I now have tons of each family I tried to play as. I'm a little worried that I won't be able to play my game because of this glitch. I want my Sims back!
