ok, so I have been playing SIms 4 on my PC using Windows 10 for a while now without issue. The day before yesterday I ran a Windows 10 update (version 2004). After that my game wouldn't launch. I kept getting an error message saying the game was already running. So I spoke with 2 EA tech support agents and none of their trouble shoots worked. I finally decided to uninstall and reinstall both sims 4 and Origin (losing everything). When i tried to reinstall, the base game appeared to install properly but when Origin tried to install the expansion packs I got an error code 327683;0 for every one. I tried to launch the base game without the expansion packs and I got the "already running" error again. I have now spoken with 4 different EA tech support agents and nothing has worked. I have no trace of the game or Origin on my computer and am not able to reinstall it properly. Any ideas?
You do not lose everything by reinstalling. You would have to manually delete "The Sims 4" folder.
Please restart your computer. Then open Origin rightclick the game and select Repair.
