10 years agoSIMS 4 KEEPS CRASHING!
Right, so I had sims4 downloaded on my laptop for about a year now and so far there have been no major problems. I've currently played 200+ hours on there and I know many other "Simmers" that have pl...
I really appreciate the help, thank you.
So I accessed the link you provided and was later sent to this page:
http://help.ea.com/en-us/help/the-sims/the-sims-4/the-sims-4-system-requirements
I was then re-directed to the 'Can you run it' programme and according to that programme I am unable to run The Sims 4 on my laptop.
I don't FULLY understand what the problems are and what I can do to fix them.
've had my game since May 2015 and haven't experienced problems with crashing until recently.
I can give you the information that I received from the programme as to why the game isn't working to standard and would appreciate it if you could help me figure out why my game isn't working.
I am still reading through the page that you linked and checking to see if anything listed there relates to my issues however I thought It was necessary to inform you of this.
Once again thank you for your help 🙂

Your processor does not meet the requirements. You have more of a net book which is not suitable for gaming.
So yeah, I would agree with that. You need a stronger machine to play the game.
ok...thanks for the information, but...what am I supposed to do about that?
Sorry if this comes across as mean, but It's not as if I can buy a better device to play the sims4 on, I just don't have that kind of money, and frankly buying a different device JUST for playing games seems relatively...well "dumb" if you ask me...that and the fact my parents would never agree to something like that either.
If that really is the only solution, I probably won't be able to play the sims4 anymore, or at least not properly, and that really sucks because, as previously stated, I've had the game for over a year and UNTIL a few months back, haven't received any crashing issues, so I assume my processor had been fine since before then...maybe it was because of game updates? I don't know...
In case you need to ask, I have the 'LENOVO ideapad 100-15IBY'
If there's a better solution than magically summoning a new device out of thin air 😳, please speak up, any help would be great.
I'm not trying to come off as mean here, I'm just extremely annoyed at the fact that the BEST solution is something I am not currently able to do, and probably won't do for a good few years...laptops and computers aren't cheap you know...especially those with higher processors...£200+ actually...and I'm not the richest of people...😬
You could try updating drivers, that might help a bit. But other than that your current device just doesn't meet the minimal requirements.
What you could do it take your device to a computer shop and ask them what it would cost, to upgrade your computer to the minimal requirements.
You can print, or write down the information that came out of the 'can you run it'. It might be cheaper to upgrade your device than to get a new one.
If you feel like you might get in to gaming more, and play other games than The Sims 4, I would put a nice gaming device on your next wishlist so your parents can get you that.
Updating your drivers would be the first thing you should try. It might just help!
