Sims 4 keeps crashing

My game doesn't work anymore. It began around the end of May.
When I start the game, the main menue loads allright.
But after that the game starts loading and after a few seconds the sound gets "stuttery" and the game crashes. It doesn't matter wether I want to restart an existing savegame or start a new game.
Removing all mods or removing the entire Sims 4 folder from documents to force the game to create a fresh folder (which it successfully does) didn't help.
Repairing the game didn't help, uninstalling and reinstalling didn't help either.

My system is Win11pro with all current updates installed, AMD Ryzen 5 2600X Six-Core Processor, 16 gb ram, Radeon RX 580 graphic card.

Does anybody have an idea, how to fix this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Disconnecting the speakers didn't help.

I am testing on a clean install without any mods or cc.

I enclose the dxdiag.txt to this reply. There is a lastCrash.txt in the Sims 4 folder, but it won't let me upload that here.

  • @StKow  Your dxdiag doesn't list any obvious issues, nor does it list any Sims 4 crashes.  So please trigger another crash, then look for new errors in the Reliability Monitor.  Hit Windows key-R and enter "perfmon /rel" without quotes, and you'll see a chart of errors and updates with a column for each day.  Today is on the right.

Look for an error that happened at exactly the time of your most recent Sims 4 crash.  If you find one, double-click it to see more details, then copy that info and paste it into a reply here.  If you don't see a new error, check back in an hour or so—the Reliability Monitor doesn't always update right away.

  • @StKow  This error points to a component of DirectX 9 as the faulting module, which doesn't necessarily mean DX9 is actually at fault.  Still, it's easy to reinstall, so please do that first.  Here's how:

    https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-PC/Sims-3-launcher-won-t-open/m-p/10711778#M247861

If you get another crash, that means the culprit is probably not DX9 but rather something that interacts with it.  So the next step is to do a clean uninstall and reinstall of the graphics driver, as described here:

    https://crinrict.com/blog/2019/02/clean-re-install-of-graphics-drivers-with-display-driver-uninstaller-ddu.html

You can get a fresh copy of the newest AMD driver here:

    https://www.amd.com/en/support/downloads/drivers.html/graphics/radeon-600-500-400/radeon-rx-500-series/radeon-rx-580.html

If neither of these helps, please post the new Sims 4-related error(s) you see in the Reliability Monitor.
