sims 4 keeps freezing
Hello Sims community!
I've been having a glitch happen non-stop for the past couple of weeks, first i thought i would take matters into my own hands and try to fix the problem myself but this clearly didn't work. Since the last patch update my game has been a tad bit weird, for starters my cursor turned into a color palette everytime i moved it towards my sims, afterwards i found out it was the more columns mod because it glitches with almost every patch. I updated it and everything worked out fine until i wanted to make an occult sim, to do this i had to delete the remaining sim i wasn't going to use so i clicked the X to remove it aaand my game just stops working. Normally there should be like a warning that says "are u sure you want to delete this sim" or something but it just doesn't appear. u can see that my screen did fade to black a little bit but the option just doesn't appear and i have to restart my game because i can't do anything while it's glitched like that. I thought maybe it just needs to restart or i should repair my game, tried this multiple times everyday and nothing seemed to work. Now i thought, what if i just left the sim there and removed it from my family when i start the game BUT here comes my second problem. Well i did that method and then the game asks u what season u want (if u have the required pack) i just chose summer cuz it's my go-to and then it asks what world to choose. I chose willow creek and a basic plot where i could start building, so then it starts loading and loading and instead of seeing my sim standing on the lot the game asks me to pick a lot again? i just thought nothing of it and picked willow creek again but when i hovered my cursor above the willow creek option u could see the green plumbob there meaning my sim already lived there which confused me? I checked and that lot i had picked wasn't vacant anymore and my sim lived there. I tried playing that household and it just kept bringing me back to the choose ur world screen and it kept looping into a cycle of choosing and loading. for anyone wondering i do have CC and i've checked all my mods to see if they're outdated and i've updated them all. I also wondered if it had anything to do with my C drive not having much space left but i've freed some and it still keeps happening. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?
@593649269269926 and @spctgr3000 As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.
Please list the issues, if any, that still show up in the new save. @593649269269926 If you're still seeing freezing, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

@spctgr3000 If you do have more issues while playing a new save in a clean folder, please create a new thread in the Mac section describing the remaining problems. Include your specs as well: everything under About This Mac including the operating system and except for the serial number.
