Sims 4 keeps getting stuck on the loading screen

    @Death_Angel2221  Please update your computer's graphics driver.  You can get the newest one here:

    https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/

    Run the installer as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator."  Choose the Custom (not Express) install method, and check the box to perform a clean install.  Restart your computer afterwards and before trying to play.

    Please let me know what works and what doesn't, still with no mods or custom content.  It's possible that you're seeing multiple issues, for example trying to load a lot using the Off the Grid challenge can cause infinite loading, but that would have no bearing on CAS.

    @sovereignsimmer  As noted above, Off the Grid is currently broken.  For anything else, please post in Game Issues since your problem sounds limited to certain households or lots.  When the game works fine some of the time—with certain households or certain saves but not others—it's almost always an in-game issue or bug.

So I did all that and restarted my computer. My display is different btw, resolution, font sizes. I restarted the game and went to a lot but it asked me to choose a household to visit the lot with. So I decided to visit with some of the family members of one of the other lots that wouldnt load and it actually loaded which was crazy. So I went back to try to load their lot again and infinite loading screen again so I x'd out.

@Btrflie  It sounds like the sims aren't the problem but the lot itself, which is good since you can probably fix the save overall.

Please leave your Mods folder removed.  Open Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and delete any lastexception files you see.  Try again to load this problem lot, where the sims live that you could load elsewhere, and let the game get stuck.  Look for a new lastexception.  If you find one, open it (Notepad is fine) and delete its first line, then attach it to a reply here, as a text file.  If the site rejects it, you can copy and paste its contents; just use a spoiler tag since the text can be very long.

    @puzzlezaddict when im stuck on the loading screen i just use task manager to close it bc it never does. should i add mcc back in so i can get a last exception?

      @Btrflie  The game itself will generate lastexceptions at times; you don't need MCCC to be present.  Please test with no mods at all.
