Sims 4 Lag with new Graphics card

I recently upgraded my graphics card from an AMD Radeon RX 580R

after it blew, to a NVIDIA RTX 2080

After the upgrade I did a windows refresh and used DDU to make sure AMD drivers were gone and have confirmed the NVIDIA drivers were installed correctly. Ever since this upgrade, Sims 4 claims the graphics card was not recognised and the game runs poorly. Stuttering, lagging. Low FPS.  Etc

I know it's using the NVIDIA card because the task manager displays it's using GPU 0 NVIDIA.

I have 16GB RAM

i7-7600K

850W PSU

Hardware wise I'm fine. All other games run fine. It's just Sims 4 being weird.

It found it and it says it supports it. Game still stutters a bit and lags when there's more than 10 Sims in a lot. But it's more playable than it was. I just can't scroll anywhere without the camera skipping

Great! You've successfully added your card. Not sure about the skipping, maybe you just need to tweak the in-game graphics settings a bit?
