Sims 4 Limited Edition - Disc installation
Have purchased the Sims 4 Limited edition and am trying to install from the discs, there are two discs, put in disc 1 and it wants me to create an origin account which I have done and then it starts ...

Hi all -
I purchased the disk edition today at 6:30 pm. I started installation on the first computer at 6:50pm. However, it wouldn't let me log in to Origin (I was trying to access an existing account from a new computer) so I gave up and started installing the game on the second computer at 7:30pm. It is now 4:30 am and I'm sitting at 90 percent, going up one percentage point about every hour to hour and a half. I haven't changed to disk 2 at all, and all I wanted was to play the game. I was having a bad day to begin with, and this is making it worse. I don't understand why this is taking so long, and at this point, if there is expansion packs, if they take this long to install, i don't want any of them. This is massively idiotic.

You are correct, massively idiotic....couldn't have said it better myself!!! I finally got it to download from the disc and to be honest I tried so many things, I'm not even sure which one it was that worked!! I did uninstall Origins and rebooted, that seemed to help although not sure why I should have to do that.
What happened to the simple life......put the disc in.....click install.....and boom, you're playing.
Way too complicated. I will never buy or play another Origins/EA game again in my life.
