@tiedkayDon't you have the option to enter the Gallery? Or you have this option and after clicking it you can not connect to the Gallery.
In the first case, you probably downloaded and installed the Legacy Edition versions of the game.
This version is designed for computers with a 32-bit system or for computers with a very poor graphics card. If your computer meets the game requirements for newer packs, then Legacy Edition is not needed.
Go to the Origin/ My games library - right-click on TS4 - option: Game features. Then Go to the Advanced game start options tab. Check there if you have 64 bits or 32 bits set. If you have 32 bits change to 64 bit. Uninstall the entire game and install it but without Legacy Edition. Before you start doing this, move the entire TS4 folder from the Documents to your desktop to store your saves and library
If you have the option to connect to Gallery but it doesn't work
Try these ways
1, Quit the game and Origin, open task manager, and scroll down until you found the Originwebhelperservice and terminate that process.
2. The most common reason for this is the overloaded library - your Tray folder. Move the Tray folder. to the desktop. Delete from the game folder all folders with the word cache in the name. Start the game. The game will create new empty folders and try to connect to the Gallery.
If it succeeds, delete the new empty Tray folder from the game folder and paste the old folder from the desktop in its place. Now delete as many objects from the library as you can. First of all, get rid of all Maxis's houses if you have them. You can get them all over again whenever you like
3. Some files in the game folder responsible for connecting to the gallery are damaged. Try doing a factory reset as is described here
