[Sims 4] My sims 4 won't load my Mods/CC.

After the latest update for the Life & Death pack, I went ahead and updated my Sims game without moving my mods to a different folder. To be honest, I’ve never really taken out my mods during updates, and up until now, everything has loaded just fine—my mods, CC, everything.

But after this update, none of my mods or CC showed up. To troubleshoot, I tried moving all my mods and CC to a separate folder and only left three mods in the Mods folder. These were:

  1. Pink Aura Opening Screen Override by Irene Noir
  2. Loading Screen Tips Replacement by Kiasims
  3. Plumbob Recolors by pinkishwrld (pink plumbob package)

I figured most of these had been updated (at least 2/3), but when I launched the game, it still didn’t work. So, I moved the entire Mods folder to my desktop, hoping the game would generate a new one along with a fresh resource.cfg file—but no luck there either.

I decided to uninstall The Sims 4 and the EA app, then reinstalled everything after about an hour or two. When I checked the Sims 4 folder, there was still no new Mods folder. Instead, the folder looks like this right now (I’m not sure if the images will show up, but that's what it looks like).

So, I'm guessing the problem was me removing my Onedrive because it got full. After, I like allowed it. I tested with one Mod, and it like worked so now my game can open Mods/CC. Now, I'm just like trying to see if all my Mods/CC can work. If something happens again, I'll come back to this.

  • @KHYZIERKEZIAH  What is the full path to the folders in the second screenshot?  Is it the path in the first screenshot, or something else?

The path in the first screenshot is clearly a problem, in that your game wouldn't read the Sims 4 folder inside another Sims 4 folder.  But if the game itself is installed there too, that's a separate issue that should be addressed before anything else.  So please list the install location you see in the EA App, under Sims 4 > Manage > View properties.

Before all of that, it goes under my name and last name, like this : (First name) (Last name), (Documents), (EA), (The Sims 4), (The Sims 4). The thing is, before I reinstalled the game, I was using a different account. When the update dropped, it was still the same issue: my mods and CC wouldn’t load, no matter what I tried.
