sims 4 no option to chat on phone or laptop

hi, for some reason my sims cant chat or send text anymore on phone or laptop?? it is weird because it was working before but now it is not. I took all my mods out and still no option. can someone please help or has anyone ever ran into this problem before? everything else on the phone and laptop are working fine. the chat and send text just disappeared out of no where.

    When you remove your mods folder to desktop you need delete localthumbcache.package file in game folder and fix the game in Origin.
    Origin/Library - right click on TS4 - option "Repair game"
