Tried all of this and the game won't launch still. Is anyone else having trouble with this? And if someone has a solution, I'd be very grateful.

Seems like it's not just the Sims 4 either. I was trying to google for a solution earlier and someone posted similar sounding issues with Battlefield 5. Have no idea what's going on with Origin and it's games.

  • Same issues. Have tried all the various troubleshooting they have posted all over these boards and it only made it worse. No help on their twitter account at all either. My tweets have been overlooked of ignored for the last 24 hours. What's the deal EA?

  • @TheDuke2023 @kaylouise182 and @amber_leigh_d  There have been recent problems with Origin that are not Sims 4-related.  So can you each clarify a few things about this issue?  First, does Origin itself open normally or not?  What operating system do you have (Windows or macOS), and which version?  (For Mac users, click on the Apple icon in the upper left corner of your screen and select About This Mac.)  Do you get any error messages?  If so, a screenshot would be very helpful.

For anyone who can open Origin normally but not Sims 4, please run a dxdiag (Windows) or list your specs (Mac).  You can attach either one directly to a post.  Instructions for each are here:

If Origin doesn't open or fails to connect in Windows, please try letting your computer sync with internet time.  Even if its clock is off by a couple of minutes, that could mess with Origin.
