Sims 4 not launching

Whenever I try launching the Sims 4 from Steam now (like I normally do), it comes up with an error saying, "Application not found". When I press ok or x to get it to go away (it's a separate notification on my computer, not from Steam), Steam says, "Failed to start process for this game : "The operation was canceled by the user." (0x4C7)". I tried deleting Sims from steam then re-installing it, but that didn't work. I went to my EA and didn't see Sims 4 there (my EA and steam accounts are linked, I double checked). Does anyone know what's going on or how to fix this?

@fittergirly Please download a fresh copy of the EA App installer and try to run it. You'll likely see the option to repair rather than reinstall, and if so, choose that.
If that doesn't help, uninstall the EA App with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine), and restart your computer before reinstalling.
In either case, run Steam and the EA App as an admin: right-click each desktop shortcut and select "Run as administrator." Make sure both are loaded properly before trying to launch Sims 4.
