Sims 4 only shows white screen when opened

For background, I only got this laptop and downloaded Sims 4 two days ago. I've downloaded cc, and it was all working fine until earlier today. Now when I try to open the application, either through EA all I get is a white screen with the loading cursor. Sometimes it'll switch to a black screen, but then go back to white. I've tried clearing the cache on EA, "verify integrity of game files" on the Steam app, removing the mod folder, removing saved plays, and completely uninstalling the game. It still won't load for me, anyone know what I can do?

  • @arianalol101  Please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

If that doesn't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
