Sims 4 Package files not showing up, but other mods work

Okay so, I've been playing TS4 for years and along the way I've downloaded CC.  My problem is that .package files are not showing up in the game at all; not on the main screen or in cas or anything, ...

    could you remove all files but one and see if it then shows up ?

    Took a while to find the specific file that was causing the problem, but did and now the game is running fine.  I'm still surprised that one file could mess things up that badly, but nevertheless, thank you for your suggestion.
