Sims 4 packages turn into Sims 3 packages

Sims 4 packages turn into Sims 3 packages
When ever I download a new CC for Sims 4 the package says "Sims 3 Package" why is this happening, shouldn't they say "Sims 4 package"? and they have a strange icon now they used to just be a white paper, and when I right click on them "Open" says " Windows does not recognize this file type."

    You could try bringing it back to an unknown file association, then download another cc item that is a package item and it then may fix itself up.
