Re: [CURRENT ISSUE] Sims 4 Unable to Start, Already Running

Every time I go into the EA app and hit play on the Sims 4 it says preparing game and then does nothing. I have cleared the cache, restarted the app, uninstalled the Sims and the EA app, restarted my computer, repaired the game I cannot get it to launch. I have also tried ending the tasks in task manager including the EA background services. I have also tried doing all of these steps in a different order to see if that would help but nothing has worked. I have tried launching it in offline mode, uninstalling my mods, etc. and sometimes when I try to launch it the notification pops up saying the game is already running but I can't find it and sometimes it shows up for a short time in task manager as the Sims 4 and then disappears. We have also tried turning off family sharing in steam too just in case. Please help!
