sims 4 sim won't die

Hi,

I played this elderly sim that just won't die of old age. Yes he has completed the athletic aspiration, yes he is an active sim and yes I know that makes a sim live longer than other sims. BUT he has outlived his younger wife, children and grandchildren by now, and his great-grandchilderen al all grown up... One of his grandchildren also has completed the athletic aspiration and was an active sim, and that guy died a while ago. I feel like this is a little too long to be alive just because of his active trait and athletic aspiration. Is it possible it is some kind of bug?

@inlogtenberg It can happen. I'm not sure how it works but in Sims 3 it was a probability once they reach the end of their live with which they die, influenced by all kinds of factors which increased the longer they lived.

It's probably still the same and he's just lucky.

  • @inlogtenberg Does the Grim Reaper show up and yet he doesn't die or does he just never get a message that he'll die ?

There are a few factors that can make him immortal but usually he doesn't age either if that's the case. Is it a Sim you created ?

I had one Sim outlive everyone though so it is possible.

    Hi,

I have created this sim ages ago. He's just a regular sim, not a vampire, not an merman, really just a regular sim who's athletic... I'm playing his great-grandchildren now, but he's best friends with them and he comes over a lot. I haven't got a phonecall to inform me he has died, so I guess the game never really thinks it's his time or something. He did get abducted by aliens once, but he still aged after that (he was an adult when he was abducted), I don't know if that could make him live longer?
