Sims 4 slow in long-term save

Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.94.147.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Get famous, City living, Cats and dogs, Mochino stuff
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I've been playing the same save for over a year now and whenever I open it it is incredibly slow, I don't have the best pc in the world but previously I've been able to run TS4 with graphics on high with no issues. I've made a new game with a random sim and the game runs fine, same with all of my other saves I don't use very often
What happens when the bug occurs? The game runs so slow Its unplayable. I do play with mods but I've tried removing them, deleted any broken or old CC, I've deleted cache, disconnected WiFi and deleting randomer sims. I've deleted and reinstalled the game. This problem has been persistent for about a week now.
What do you expect to see? Game running smoothley
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

    This is likely because of the amount saved in that long term save. Sims is very prone to lag.

    Some things to check:

    • How many played households do you have?
    • How many photos & paintings from reference are on your lot?
    • How many items are in your Sims' inventories?
    • How elaborate is your build? How many clutter/decorative items are on your lot?

    If you can reduce any or all of these things, and maybe also clear your notifications, you might get some improvement. But otherwise... yup, that's Sims, unfortunately.
