Sims 4 start-up error 0xc000007b

I just bought and downloaded The Sims 4 and every time I try to run it, a pop-up window opens, telling me that the game can't start correctly with the error code 0xc000007b.

List of things I tried:

  • Reinstalled the game twice, didn't work, so I tried to download it from the CD, which didn't work either
  • Run Origin/TS4 as administrator
  • Update my drivers
  • Start the game in windowed mode

Any ideas on what I should do?...

Yea, it was a Windows issue. I had to reinstall my Windows 7 for it to work. Thanks for the reply.

@Phantomlover1717 Just FYI for anyone looking here...the link to tomshardware no longer works directly, you must go to search browser and ACTUALLY SEARCH USING THE ENTIRE LINK. My issue was a C++ update that Windows wasn't doing automatically for some reason...

I'm closing this thread to stop it being necroed.

If you have any issues with Sims 4 please make a new topic about the issues you are having and what kind of steps you have tried to solve it.
