@smilelikemiles If you restart your computer and wait five minutes, do you see any Adobe-related entries in the Task Manager's background processes list? If so, can you end these services without them restarting on their own?
There's also a more aggressive way to stop a service from starting with Windows, or on its own in general. Hit Windows key-R and enter "msconfig" without quotes, click the Services tab, check the box to hide Microsoft services, and uncheck the box next to anything you don't want running. The catch here is that you might need to reenable these services when you want to use the associated apps, which could be inconvenient if you're using Adobe frequently. But at least this works for testing purposes.
