Hello I've been trying to load my sims 4 game but I'm having some issues. I press play in the EA App and all I get is task bar appear with the minimise, Maximise and cross to close the game appear. It will also show the sims 4 app in the bottom of the screen but then it doesn't load the game. Steps I've currently done Take out my cc and all mods. Repair the game take out my sims 4 game entirely from my documents folder so it can load a new sims 4 folder. Nothing is loading it I had been able to play earlier in the day but I had to save and quit when I tried to load back on later I had that issue what else can I do?I added a picture along of the task bar that it loads if that helps

Thanks for the help in this I managed to fix this issue by uninstalling and reinstalling all the games again. It doesn't have the problem any more.

@Candigirl932 When you removed the whole Mods folder, did you also delete the file called localthumbcache? Try that,

Hello thanks for replying yes I did delete the localthumbcache too. It didn’t help either.

I'm not sure what else I can try to fix this issue.

@Candigirl932 Have you tried clicking on maximize ? What happens ?

@crinrict Yes I press that and it will just lower the bar to the bottom again and when I press the sims 4 icon again it just brings the little bar back again.

the maximise button isn't highlighted it won't let me click it all I can click is the minimise button and then once minimised I can click the sims 4 at the bottom to bring the bar back but that's it. So technically the maximise button won't click anyways.

@crinrict I tried pulling on the corners like trying to drag but that didn't help either it didn't let me pull on them either. Minimising it is or closing it is about all I can do with it currently.

@Candigirl932 I think this was an issue before but I can't remember what it was.

@Candigirl932 Please disable any apps you're using that include overlays: Steam, Discord, etc. You can shut them down in the Task Manager before trying to play. Disable the EA App in-game overlay as well; the option is under Settings > Application.

If that doesn't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
