Sims 4 task bar appear and game won't load

Hello I've been trying to load my sims 4 game but I'm having some issues. I press play in the EA App and all I get is task bar appear with the minimise, Maximise and cross to close the game appear. I...

    Thanks for the help in this I managed to fix this issue by uninstalling and reinstalling all the games again. It doesn't have the problem any more.

@Candigirl932 When you removed the whole Mods folder, did you also delete the file called localthumbcache? Try that,

    @Candigirl932 Have you tried clicking on maximize ? What happens ?

      @crinrict Yes I press that and it will just lower the bar to the bottom again and when I press the sims 4 icon again it just brings the little bar back again.

      the maximise button isn't highlighted it won't let me click it all I can click is the minimise button and then once minimised I can click the sims 4 at the bottom to bring the bar back but that's it. So technically the maximise button won't click anyways.
