sims 4 saying code already used, trying to re-install on a new PC as the previous one is broken

Thank you for your response.
I bought the disc for my daughter and I changed the email address last year because I wanted to use a single account for all Microsoft and EA transactions. It was originally registered using a hotmail account which I have since closed after the email address change.
Now when I log on to origin with the current email address, I am unable to install Sims 4.
