I don't know if I'm doing this right since it's my first time but I need help yall. My sims 4 game time and clock time are unsynced everytime I get a roommate. I tried in 4 different saves, repaired the game, uninstalled and did a clean save too but the issue is still there. Once it happens it doesn't get better no matter what I do (changing lots, moving house, getting rid of roomates). I can't live in dorms because of this issue ☹️( Please help ;-;
@Einstasia That's definitely strange. Out of curiosity, I'd like to see a dxdiag, in case there's anything about your system that might be contributing to the issue.

It's not surprising that you can't fix the problem once it happens though—saves affected in this way are usually not fixable regardless of why the issue occurred in the first place.

@Einstasia Don't worry about the late reply; it's never a problem.
There are in-game issues (bugs and glitches) that can create the time lag you've described. But I haven't heard of a current one that happens when an active sim gets a roommate. So I think what instead might be going on here is that your processor isn't keeping up with the demands the game is placing on it. The CPU is weak for Sims 4, albeit (barely) above the minimum requirement, and it also has to do all the graphics processing. So it could certainly fall behind.
What you can try is playing with absolutely nothing else running at the same time. Restart your computer, open Origin, put it in offline mode unless you need to use the Gallery, and then launch the game. Don't even open a browser window or a music app; let the processor run only the game.
If you still see the same time lag, try playing in a clean boot:

While it might be annoying to play like that going forward, trying it once would at least give you an idea of whether minimizing the load on the CPU could help, and it might also make clear whether this is in fact the issue.

Hello, I also have a similar time-lag problem whenever my Sims go to another lot and also the NPC sims are always stuck outside whenever I go to another lot.
@OllenPK Does this happen in a new save, or just your existing one? Please test if you haven't already. If you have mods or custom content, please test without it at least once; you don't nee to save your game.

This happens in an existing save and yes, I do have mods and custom content. I don't know what a "Dxdiag" is and how to get it done.
@OllenPK Instructions for running a dxdiag are in the article I linked. You can attach one to a reply in this thread.
Please also test on a new save, just to see whether the same thing happens.
Sorry for the late reply, but I've done the Dxdiag.exe thing. I will create a new game and save it and see if the problem is still there.
@OllenPK Did you get a chance to test a new save? The installed driver for your graphics chip is old, and updating it might help. But there aren't any errors related to the driver in your dxdiag; most of the errors listed are related to Windows trying to diagnose a network error. So I don't know for sure whether the driver is an issue, and if it's not, there's no need to update it.
If the issue does happen in a new save though, you can try installing the newest driver from AMD:
You want the slightly older "Recommended" driver, from November 18, rather than the newer "Optional" one.
