Sims 4 toddler and animation bugs

Okay so I am having a problem with toddlers in TS4. Whenever I try to command the parents to do anything, and I mean ANYTHING, with the toddlers, it will be in their queue for a minute or so before just dissapearing. This is making it impossible to properly care for the toddlers because I have to put the command in 3-4 times, which takes a few hours in game. I have tried to put them in their bed, and the sim will carry the toddler into the room with the bed before the command vanishes and they just set the toddler down. I have told them to feed the toddlers, and they will end up puting the toddler in the high chair but then putting the food half way across the room. Bathing just doesnt work at all unless I put the command in multiple times. I have noticed that things dont end up in the toddlers queue either. For example when getting put to bed, the sim should have a 'Put (toddler) to bed" command while the toddler should have a "Be Put To Bed" command. It only pops up in the parents queue befor vanishing all together.

I have the proper specs to run TS4 on medium settings, im running on low. I have the Parenthood and Get Together addons which I just recently installed. The only mods I have are ones that add in custom foods (No custom foods for the toddlers yet) and clothing. I would really appreciate help with this.

I am also having a glitch with animations. If I have the game running in 2nd or 3rd level speed, sims will not progress with their animations. I have had a sim cook for a total of 7 hours because of this, and eat for the same amount. This is not normal. They will also never complete tasks even if the bar is full if in 2nd or 3rd speed. Another problem is that sometimes sims have a hard time starting tasks. It will sit in their queue for a bit before finally starting. Possibly related to toddler problems.
