sims 4 unable to launch

Is anyone else getting the below message when they try to launch the Sims 4 in the EA App:

"Your Game failed to Launch
An error on our end caused your launch to fail. Try again a little later."

I downloaded the latest pack, 'Growing Together' on the 16th and it had been working fine up until 19th March 23 and now all I get is the above message. Does anyone know if EA are having problems with their servers, or the EA App?

I have tried moving the Sims 4 folder from the Electronic Arts folder to desktop temporarily but the game still wouldn't launch so a blank folder was never created. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂
