Sims 4 update stuck on preparing
Hi.
I'm on PC. and Ive tried SO many things now.
removed the cache on the app, restarted the computer, EA app online and offline,
Ive tried to cansle the download of the update, and even trie...

This isn’t a question, I recently had this issue and found a way to fix it for myself and decided to post it incase other people had the same issue(than having to reply to each comment-don’t know where else to post it.) I couldn’t update/repair my sims 4 game until I did this:
Open the Ea app then open task manager, then click on “more details” scroll down until you find Ea background service, select it and then hit end task. That should close the Ea app. Reopen it and you should be able to update the game(at least I was after that.) Good luck to you
