Sims 4: what are "challenges"?

Where did you read about this?

Usually, building challenges are challenges created by the community for fun. For example, there is one challenge where you are asked to create the smallest house you can, or another one to create a dollhouse. It's a building idea someone comes up with and challenges others to try to build it 🙂

If you tell me where you heard about them, I might be able to give a more accurate answer 😉

I like to build and I've uploaded more than 100 things since October when I started uploading.  I have noticed since then that Maxis periodically faves things and most often they are entries to these challenges that I have never heard of.  I would like to participate, but it seems to be a private thing, that I can only know about from their hashtags that show the entries (after it's all over!). So, how does one find out about these?  I'd love to know, thank you!

I didn't know this thread, but it's a really handy compilation! The list of challenges I want to try is getting longer right now :D

I must admit I have a problem with the gameplay challenges, because I'm never able to finish them. For example, I have tried to complete Pinstar's Legacy Challenge at least 10 times, but I never manage to do more than 5 generations before I feel like starting a new story in a new game.

I'm better with the building challenges because, usually, they don't require so much time.

What challenges have you played, @EuphorialQueen? Any recommendations?
