Sims 4: white screen start up crash

I have been having trouble with the sims 4 starting today as I launched origin to play the game and hit play but the game goes to a white screen then shows
"The Sims 4 has stopped responding"

I have moved my mods from the mods folder and even decided to nuke the entire tray file after moving its contents elsewhere.

I have also did the "sims4_backup" thing and it still does not work.

I have also reset my PC Multiple times and even cleared origins cache and no luck.

The game load on 32 bit but 64 bit has stopped working until recently for the sims.

has anyone else had this problem?

I attached a DXDiag as well.

  • @UltimoMocha  Are you still using a clean Sims 4 folder, as in, you renamed the old one and haven't added any content to the new one?  If not, please try that again, and continue to use a clean folder while troubleshooting.

Try disabling Origin in-game: hover over your username, select Application Settings, then the Origin in-game header, and disable the option at the top.

If that doesn't help, try forcing the game to launch in windowed mode: open your Origin game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, select Game Properties > Advanced Launch Options, enter -w in the command line box, and save.

  • @UltimoMocha  A component of the AMD graphics driver is crashing, over and over, and taking Sims 4 down with it.  Since you already have the newest recommended driver, you'll need to do a clean uninstall and reinstall, as described here:

    https://crinrict.com/blog/2019/02/clean-re-install-of-graphics-drivers-with-display-driver-uninstaller-ddu.html

You can get a fresh copy of the driver here:

    https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/amd-radeon-5700-series/amd-radeon-rx-5700-series/amd-radeon-rx-5700-xt

Please use the recommended (WHQL) driver, not the newer optional one.

So i re-installed the latest drivers but now instead of it saying it stopped responding it loads up the white screen and kicks me back to origin/desktop.

No it didn't work, now its back to saying "The Sims 4 has stopped working"

Its also using a fresh Sims 4 folder as you suggested as well as forcing it into windowed mode.

(Origin in game has been disabled too)

    Never Mind it worked!
