I bought Sims 4 about a year ago and I just bought the Discover University game pack TONIGHT and I'm trying to make a character and the character is invisible. I have tried restarted my desktop and shut it down. If anyone could help me that would be AWESOME!!

Glad your game is working! I'm having a similar problem for about a week now. I purchased the latest exp. pack and then it started bugging out in game. Freezing, crashing, etc. Been trying to repair the game for a week now and it's a nightmare.
